Analysis of Electric and Magnetic Fields Measured Near TVA'S 500-kV Transmission Lines

In a program sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) has developed an extensive data base on electric and magnetic fields in the vicinity of TVA's 500-kV transmission lines. This paper summarizes the grouping by categories, the analysis, and the documentation of the data. The measured fields data are analyzed statistically as a function of the transmission lines' geometrical parameters and topographical factors.
