Forecasting of Hourly Load By Pattern Recognition A Deterministic Approach

An algorithm using pattern recognition techniques and current weather parameters to forecast hourly electric load with a lead time of one to three hours is proposed. The lead time can be increased to at most 24 hours with the use of forecasted weather parameters.
