Utilization of Solar Cogeneration in Conjunction with a Copper Smelter

The results of a study investigating solar cogeneration in conjunction with a flash furnace copper smelting operation in south- west New Mexico are presented. Results include a discussion of the overall system configuration with particular emphasis on system design, operation and control.
