A Phase-Tracking Loop (PTL) Detector for FM Signals and its Application to an FM Receiver

High-Fidelity demodulation of FM signals requires a wide frequency range with low distortion, and sufficient protection from interference. However, these two requirements are incompatible each other, i.e. a wide band detector accepts interference simultaneously with the desired signal. Current increase of FM broadcasting stations aggravates this problem.
