A Novel Method for Even Odd Parametric Oscillation Stability Analysis of a Microwave Power Amplifier

High power amplifiers frequently exhibit parametric oscillations, when driven near compression. This paper describes a new analysis and design methodology for predicting and eliminating even and odd parametric oscillation modes in power amplifiers. Large pumped signal, synchronized with a small signal, for stability analysis based on small signal oscillation conditions is proposed.
