Management standards for communication sites

The authors attempts to define all components of quality for the communication site and describes how they lead to site standards and management techniques. The site standards include location of antennas, installation of jacketed coax, double-shielded pigtails, connectors, isolators, cavities, preselectors, combining of frequencies, grounding, and adopting a management standards policy. The primary concept is, first, to provide an environment for the on-site receivers to capture the weakened (attenuated) signal from the preferred source; second, to accommodate all required frequencies without degradation of their performance; and, third, to provide an environment and facilities that complement and support the equipment and personnel without compromising quality or safety.<
