Two channel routing algorithm for quickly customized logic

Quickly customized logic (QCL) is an architecture that uses one predefined metal layer and one custom metal layer for interconnections. The authors propose two routing algorithms for a new channel model in QCL. The first algorithm uses a set of simple wire types and produces optimal routing solutions if one exists. The second algorithm is a heuristic algorithm that uses a set of general wire types. It produces more general routing solutions and hence might succeed when the first algorithm fails.<
