Design of a highly parallel set logic network based on a bio-device model

A model of molecular switching devices based on enzyme-substrate reactions is proposed for constructing a novel type of logic network called a set logic network. An important role of every enzyme is its specificity, which is used as a multiple-valued discrimination function. the mathematical aspects of the systematic synthesis of the set logic functions are considered. It is demonstrated that the set logic network obtained has the attractive features of high information density, highly parallel structure, and extensibility into ultra-high-valued information processing systems.<
