High-accuracy absorbing boundary condition

A new, adaptive approach for generating absorbing boundary conditions (ABC's) for electromagnetic scattering is proposed. The main advantage of this method is that it converges to the exact solution of open electromagnetic field problems in a few iterations. Combined with the finite element method it produces a sparse and symmetric coefficient matrices. It therefore provides a very efficient method for solving scattering problems.<
