Distributed estimation of power mismatch

The design of distributed filters for estimating the real power mismatch in multicontrol area power systems is considered. The filters' size in each area is equal to the number of tie lines plus one. Decoupling of the filters is achieved through additional measurements. A three-area system is used to demonstrate the proposed method. The system has an 18th-order model and at each area a third-order filter is designed.<
