Radio frequency drying in the textile industry

Radio frequency (RF) drying, a type of dielectric heating, has found application in the removal of residual moisture (not removed by conventional dryers) with an efficiency of about 50-60%. Attention is given to operational parameters influencing the efficiency of RF drying, including the material dimensions and density, the moisture level, and its uniformity in the work material. The advantages and disadvantages of RF drying are enumerated, and an energy cost comparison is presented.<
