A local area network for laboratory use

In a student project for a senior level electrical engineering lab course, a local area network was designed and constructed. This network allows connection of up to 12 microcomputers to a single printer. The device automatically resolves conflicts when two or more users try to print files. The project format as well as the final design of the network are described.<
