Fast conversion techniques for binary-residue number systems

An easy and efficient procedure for converting a binary number into a residue number on moduli 2/sup n/-1, 2/sup n/, /sup 2/n+1 is presented. The procedure presented reveals an inversion technique. The paper also includes a systematic method to compare the magnitudes of two residue numbers on the above moduli. The conversion procedure does not depend on Chinese remainder theorem.<
