In-process quality monitoring for the high speed high volume manufacturing environment

By embedding sensors in manufacturing machinery to observe discrete part manufacturing operations as they happen, it is possible and economical to significantly improve the quality of the finished parts by measuring at the instant of manufacture those parameters which affect the final characteristics of each and every part, rather than sampling a few parts some time later.
