The design of a 100 MW, Ku band second harmonic gyroklystron experiment

The design of a gyroklystron experiment capable of fulfilling the expected requirements of future electron-positron colliders is presented. The design is an extension of previous work that utilized the interaction of a 500 kV beam and TE/sub 01//TE/sub 02/ circular cavities. Details of an electron gun design which is capable of producing an 800 A, 1 /spl mu/s beam are given. Modifications to an existing code which enhance the system modeling are described before the circuit simulation results are summarized.<
