Systolic algorithms for matrix functions via the commutant equation

We propose diagonally oriented systolic algorithms for the computation of matrix functions. We design bidimensional and linear arrays and apply decomposition techniques in order to obtain size-independent algorithms for both arrays. An adequate chaining of the computations in the size-independent case allows us to get an optimal efficiency.<
