An intelligent low distortion battery charger controller for fast controlled charging of electric vehicles

The paper presents an intelligent AI controlled battery charger scheme for electric vehicle applications. The scheme utilized an expert system rule based on-line gain adjustable voltage regulator. This ensures fast charging, limited overcurrent, minimum harmonic distortion at the electric utility point of common coupling as well as ramp down trickle charging control.<
