TMN aspects regarding radio relay systems for SDH and PDH signals

For SDH transmission equipment a TMN system is nearly mandatory. Thereby it is indispensable that all equipment concerned is managed by a common TMN system. Transmission equipment for that are add drop multiplexers (ADMX), fibre optic (FO)- and radio transmission systems for SDH signals. But also existing PDH equipment should be included into TMN as far as possible. Some aspects of a QD2-application on a SDH-radio relay system are treated with a view to a migration strategy to a CCITT conformable TMN interface.<
