Faraday rotation in meteor burst communication

A previously reported physical model of meteor burst propagation has been upgraded to include interalia, Faraday rotation. The author describes the model enhancement and presents results of an analysis of several links on which polarization rotation has been reported or might be expected. Model results are presented as a function of sun spot activity, distance from the magnetic pole, path length, and path azimuth with respect to magnetic north to illustrate the wide range of circumstances under which Faraday rotation is important to meteor burst communication.<
