High-efficiency water pipe cooling system for underground transmission lines

An advanced forced-cooling system developed for the Nankou-Karyoku line of the Kansai Electric Power Co. in Japan is described. The 154 kV transmission line was designed to cope with increasing power demands and the need for greater transmission capacity.<
