Method of specifying propagation reliability and recommended test procedure to assure compliance (vehicle communications)

A rational method of evaluating the effect of short- and long-term radio propagation fades on receiver signal to determine what is an adequate signal is suggested. The starting point used is the required receiver single level. Antenna factor is used to obtain the required ratio field strength. A method of field testing which can establish the percentage of time and area where an adequate signal can be obtained is outlined.<
