Expert system tools applied to power system analysis

When applied to electric power systems expert systems can automate many of the difficult and time-consuming tasks of power system analysis. Several expert system tools for analyzing electric power systems on a personal computer are described. By integrating expert technology with graphical online techniques, the user's understanding of power system performance can be enhanced with visual indication of problem areas and system performance parameters.<
