MV transportable, remote controlled unit for HV/MV sub-stations

In the last few years there has been growing interest in mobile HV/MV substations. This paper examines the MV unit of these substations which have recently been the object of important development. The use of the new compact SF/sub 6/ GIS means the system can be installed in standard containers making transport and set up both fast and easy. Moreover the use of microprocessor-based control and protection devices interfaced with a computer makes local and remote control of whole system extremely simple.<
