Extension to nonminimum phase systems of adaptive pole assignment control by means of robustness techniques

An adaptive control is introduced which presents the possibility of dealing with nonminimum phase linear SISO plants, solving a pole assignment control problem. The proposed control structure can be easily implemented and analyzed. A connection between adaptive control and robust stabilization is established, and some of the recent results of this theory are used in order to cope with the presence of nonminimum phase zeros in the polynomial which is canceled by the adaptive controller.<
