Approximation for a neutral equation with nonatomic D operator

The author considers the problem of approximating the solution for a neutral equation that has a nonatomic D operator. It is shown that two different numerical schemes provide reasonably good approximations for scalar examples possessing the singular nature of the neutral equations that one wishes to solve numerically. The first method is a recurrence method while the second one uses finite-element functions to approximate the solution.<
