Prediction methods for preventing single-phase reclosing on permanent fault

Prediction methods are presented for distinguishing between temporary and permanent faults. They are based on an analysis of voltages in both steady and transient states on the opened phase conduction during single-phase reclosing. Test results show that the methods proposed are feasible and reliable.<
