Thin film magnetic head composed of inorganic materials

A magnetic head using a highly heat-resistant inorganic material for its insulation film and an amorphous magnetic film of high-B/sub s/ material was fabricated by a dry process and polishing for flatness. It is capable of recording signals on a high-H/sub c/ recording medium with an H/sub c/ of 152 kA/m. Signal reproduction efficiency is confirmed to be largely improved by high-temperature annealing, which cannot be applied to an organic insulation film conventionally used for thin film heads.<
