The paper focuses on the architectural approach taken for the DMuse project. This includes a description of the Muse real time intelligent knowledge based systems (IKBS) toolkit and the alterations necessary to provide this system on a multiprocessor platform to produce the distributed Muse (DMuse) toolkit.
