Solution to the ferroresonant jump problem in three-phase power conditioning systems

An analytical investigation leading to a solution for the ferroresonant jump problem in three-phase conditioning systems is presented. The solution is found through the analysis of the power-conditioning system steady-state behavior. This analysis showed that proper control of the harmonics present in an oscillatory mode can lead to the suppression of the oscillation and hence force the system into the desired mode of operation. The proposed solution has been successfully tested in the laboratory and can be easily implemented for the existing systems in the field.<
