Note on the Bearing Error and Sensitivity of a Loop Antenna in an Abnormally Polarized Field

An expression is derived for the response of a loop antenna to a radio wave arriving at any angle with any linear polarization and its application to direction finding is discussed. Curves of loop-bearing error and loop sensitivity as functions of the angles of vertical incidence and polarization are given.
