Using SMAC Agent Securely in Heterogonous Database Systems

Mobile agent technology has several used in distributed system applications. Unfortunately, this technology is not full utilized for security problems. One of these problems is a mobile agent protection against malicious hosts. This paper deals with this problem to protect the using of this technology in heterogonous database systems. SMAG (secure mobile agent generator) is a new mobile agent system. It uses cryptography mechanisms to protect agents. The agent is partitioned into groups. Each group is encrypted by a different secret key. So, a service provider can deal only with group if it has a copy of the secret key. SMAG generates an secure agent according to a user's specification. Through the agent, the user can manipulate with any type of database. By using C# language and Dot Net framework, SMAG system has been implemented. To demonstrate the system, a scenario is given
