Diagnosis of single photon emission tomography images using artificial neural networks

The authors discuss work being performed to apply artificial neural networks (ANNs) to the diagnosis of single photon emission computerized tomography images of the human brain. At this early stage work is concentrating on using ANNs to recognise the presence of regions of abnormal blood perfusion due to Baso-spasm.<
