A measurement study of the mobile agent JADE platform

Despite its recent release, the mobile agent JADE platform is attracting the scientific community attention for its effective and seamless portability. Unlike most of the JADE research efforts, which have so far focused mainly on the agent framework architecture and on the technical design issues, this paper aims at showing JADE performance measurements. First, we assess the effect of two different factors, the operating system and the execution environment, on the container start up operations.
