Simple energy recovery and commutation circuit for six-step current-fed inverters

A simple energy recovery and commutation circuit is proposed to operate a six-step current-fed inverter based on thyristors. The circuit topology and operational principle are presented. Experimental results are also shown to verify the proposed scheme.
