Low complexity channel estimation and equalization for block transmission systems

In this work, a channel estimation scheme is introduced to single carrier block transmission systems. Compared to the conventional method, the proposed scheme has similar estimation accuracy but with higher transmission efficiency and lower complexity. Under the anti-polar constellation constraint, the optimal training sequence design is studied. Furthermore, a simplified minimum mean square error (MMSE) block equalizer is derived.
