Performance evaluation of handover traffic in two-tier cellular mobile networks

The user mobility is a system parameter that affects the cellular mobile network performance by increasing the handover traffic. To improve the handover performance, an analytical model is deduced for an overlaid macrocell over microcells to investigate the handover failure and the new call blocking probabilities.
