Experimental demonstration of an optimized optical RZ-duobinary transmission system

We present experimental data on return-to-zero duobinary transmission at 10 Gb/s. By optimizing the duobinary generating low-pass filter and receiver optical filter, we achieve both good receiver sensitivity and a greatly enhanced dispersion tolerance.
