Grey-box identification of induction motor model for field oriented control

In this paper identification algorithms are applied to an induction motor drive in order to estimate the open loop transfer function of each of four control loops in a field oriented control strategy. A more accurate model of the induction motor drive is obtained and it is possible to overcome difficulties in system modeling coming from uncertainties on motor, inverter, transducers and A/D converters parameters. The accuracy of estimated model makes it suitable for PI controllers optimal tuning.
