Data management for the monitoring and analysis diagnosis assistance system

In order to minimize maintenance and outage costs, Electricite de France is extending the existing data processing chains towards computer-aided interpretation and diagnosis. EDF is currently designing an integrated monitoring and diagnosis assistance system, PSAD (Poste de Surveillance et d'Aide au Diagnostic). PSAD is devoted to on line monitoring and diagnosis of the main components of nuclear power stations such as reactor coolant pumps, turbine generator, and primary circuit. The authors present the objectives and the functional decomposition of PSAD, and deal with the data management part of PSAD which is the center of the system.<
