Anomaly detection based on performance data

In this research, we demonstrate the feasibility of using application performance data for the purpose of anomaly detection. Specifically, we use the signaling performance of a voice-over-IP (VoIP) infrastructure for the purpose of illustration. We also develop an approach to use the /spl chi//sup 2/ test statistic for anomaly detection based on application performance data.
