Linear coefficients of equation of motion of a drift electron

A simple method of calculating the friction coefficient and the restraining coefficient of a linear equation of motion of a drift electron in an isotropic medium is presented. This new method is applied for an electron in the high-field domain in a magnetically biased Gunn diode as an example.
