Improvement on parameters of Goppa geometry codes from maximal curves using the Vla/spl breve/dut-Xing method

In the present correspondence, an idea of Xing and Chen is used to improve the parameters of Goppa geometry codes from maximal curves. It is shown that we can improve the parameters of Goppa geometry codes almost up to the genus of a maximal curve.
