Electric and magnetic fields measured in Colombian lines and substations

This paper focuses on the experimental measurements of 60 Hz electric and magnetic fields in power electrical systems, including power transmission lines and substations. The electric and magnetic fields measurements were carried out following international recommendations and standards. Additionally, using a theoretical program the case of maximum load condition was estimated. All the measured values are compared with recommended values, which are found to be lower than the limits. Measurements carried out in other systems (Colombia, Cuba and Costa Rica) shown similar results.
