Critically coupled algorithms for solving the power flow equation

The authors present some results from an investigation into the solution of the power flow equation, in which existing fast algorithms and their robustness properties were studied with respect to a variety of conditions on the network, especially in the presence of high r/x ratio lines. The main aim is to present a new class of algorithm, related to the XB and BX algorithms.<
