Analysis of complex repairable systems

This paper presents, efficient methods for computing the exact reliability characteristics of complex repairable systems with s-independent components. The proposed methods can be combined with any existing combinatorial methods to solve network reliability problems. In order to take advantage of today's state-of-art data structures, we have proposed a method for using binary decision diagrams (BDDs) to compute the results. The proposed method computes the results quickly and accurately. It can also be applied in the case of general failure and repair distributions.
