Modeling and simulation of the indoor communication channel

A linear model of the indoor communication and the associated impulse response as invariant under time translations is considered. The fully three-dimensional channel simulator developed evaluates the power losses in a building as a function of the T/sub X/-R/sub X/ separation. For a given floor, once the antenna heights are chosen and the nature, orientation and heights of the walls are determined the program returns the power loss as a function of the distance and compares it to various estimations based on existing experimental or empirical results.<
