UMTS WCDMA with smart antennas: hybrid link and system level performance analysis

This paper presents a hybrid simulation method for the study of the performance of WCDMA with smart antennas. The method combines link level simulations that characterize the performance of the air interface in greater detail, with system level simulations that study the performance of a multi-tier cellular system.
