Communication protocols for a structural health monitoring sensor network

A test-bed for research in the use of sensor networks for structural health monitoring in aerospace vehicles is presented. An overview of the test-bed configuration for detecting and characterizing micrometeoroid impacts is given, followed by a description of the communications protocols.
