Optimising scheduling delay in wavelength-routed optical burst switched networks with re-attempt capability

A novel analytic expression to minimise the delay added in the lightpath scheduler whilst ensuring a maximum blocking probability is derived. This optimises the scheduler and accelerates its design, avoiding unnecessary delays and time-consuming simulations.
