Null of radiation pattern steering by control amplitude of signal combination

Theoretical and experimental radiation patterns of a simple null-steering antenna array are presented. The antenna feeder network consists of a hybrid ring coupler with sum and difference outputs, amplifier and power divider. This method of null steering is based on control of the amplitude of the signal combination. It shows that the null location can be steered over a range of about 40 degrees.
